The land on which the BC Wildlife Park stands has a storied past, originally operating as a hop farm in the 1950s under the ownership of Sick's Brewery and later Molson's Brewery. This area once bustled with agricultural activity, housing workers and hop processing facilities. The transformation of this land into the Wildlife Park marked Kamloops' ongoing commitment to conservation and education.
