Tourism Kamloops has prepared a full week to engage the community in tourism appreciation and is inviting the community to be part of the fun!

Kamloops, British Columbia, April 24, 2023 – Tourism Kamloops has scheduled a full week of activities to ensure that tourism remains at the forefront of conversations during Canada’s national Tourism Week. 

“This week marks the ramp up to our peak season. Our team wanted to use it as an opportunity to set up our stakeholders and the broader community for a fantastic summer,” explains Monica Dickinson, CEO, Tourism Kamloops. “We built our schedule around celebration, showing appreciation, and education. Whether you’re enjoying a free ice cream or taking part in our Working Effectively with Indigenous Peoples workshop we want this week to be memorable and showcase the importance of tourism in Kamloops.”

This week features the following activities:

Monday, April 24th – Industry Panel Luncheon 

As we kick off Tourism Week and Peak Season in Kamloops, join us for a Panel Luncheon featuring Walt Judas, TIABC; Ingrid Jarrett, BCHA; Ellen Walker-Matthews, TOTA; and Nicole Ford, Rocky Mountaineer to hear about industry updates and connecting with peers during an afternoon of fun, food and fantastic company.

Wednesday, April 26th – A Kone for Kamloops

We are inviting the people of Kamloops to enjoy a small ice cream cone on us. This special day serves as a thank you to Kamloops for their incredible support over the last 3 years!

Friday April 28th - Working Effectively with Indigenous Peoples Full-Day Workshop
