Chocolate Lovers Unite: YKA Hot Chocolate Festival
It’s the sweetest time of the year, and everyone’s favourite hot chocolate festival is back—warm up your winter and join us for the Second Annual Hot Chocolate Festival.
For the entire month of February, cozy up as participating cafés and restaurants whip up their signature hot chocolate creations, each competing for the coveted Gold, Silver, and Bronze titles of YKA’s Best Hot Chocolate 2025. And the best part? $1-3 from each cup will help the Mount Paul Community Food Centre spread a little more warmth to our community. Drink up for a sweet cause and let the chocolatey battle begin! Jon Dore Stand Up Comedy Live at Red Collar Brewing

Named one of "10 comics to watch" by Variety Magazine, Ottawa-born comedian, host, and actor, Jon Dore is renowned for his offbeat humour and unique bait-and-switch style.
He’s like the human version of a plot twist—unexpected, a little confusing, but always hilarious.
Jon’s also had his own award-winning mockumentary series, The Jon Dore Television Show, hosted Funny as Hell on HBO Canada, and starred in stand-up specials for Comedy Central and Just For Laughs. Now, he’s hosting The Stand Up Show with Jon Dore on CTV Comedy. Grab tickets here!
Julie Kim Doing Too Much Comedy Tour at The Paramount Theatre

Julie Kim is one of Canada’s top stand-up comics. She recently toured North America with Ronny Chieng, rocked a gala spot at Just for Laughs Montreal 2022, and sold out four solo shows at Just for Laughs Toronto 2023. Over the past decade, she’s graced every major Canadian comedy festival, including Just for Laughs Vancouver, Winnipeg, and Halifax—plus multiple televised appearances. Julie’s also taken her comedy global, making her debut at the 2023 Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and has been a regular on CBC’s The Debaters. For the Film Buffs: The Kamloops Black Films Festival
Get ready for action! The second annual Kamloops Black Film Festival is back, proudly presented by the Valid Dreams Foundation and the Kamloops AfroFilms Society. From Feb 1 – 2, 2025, the festival will feature films from the Black community that redefine narratives around Black identity and culture, offering powerful insights into diverse Black experiences. Alongside a thoughtfully curated selection of screenings, the festival will highlight local Black talent through special events and performances. Children 12 years and under receive free admission, available at the door only.

Monica Wright and Quincy McCall grew up in the same neighborhood and have known each other since childhood. As they grow into adulthood, they fall in love, but they also share another all-consuming passion: basketball. As Quincy and Monica struggle to make their relationship work, they follow separate career paths though high school and college basketball and, they hope, into stardom in big-league professional ball.

Common Thread - Temporary Exhibit at the Kamloops Museum
Showcasing how wool makes a transformative journey—from the landscape to the workshop, to yarn, to clothing, and beyond, Common Thread at the Kamloops Museum and Archives is a celebration of the materials and processes behind our region’s wool and natural fibre production.
Ithin-eh-wuk - we place ourselves at the center: James Nicholas and Sandra Semchuk at the Kamloops Art Gallery
For fifteen years, James Nicholas and Sandra Semchuk collaborated on a series of nationally exhibited photo-installations and videos which unveil the mindset and effects of colonialism through the lens of their remarkable intercultural marriage.
This exhibition brings together for the first time a comprehensive selection of their collaborations, tracing their creative output from their initial meeting in 1993 until Nicholas’s accidental death in 2007. Their work reveals a profound commitment to dialogue in which Semchuk’s identity as the child of Ukrainian-Canadian settlers from Saskatchewan meets Nicholas’s experiences as a Rock Cree man from Manitoba.
DREAM ; NÀTE at the Kamloops Art Gallery
Casey Koyczan is returning to Kamloops to develop a new project as artist-in-residence in The Cube. As part of his creative process, Koyczan is piecing together imagery and narratives from a dream that brought him from Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, to Kamloops. dream ; nàte is an interpretation of Koyczan’s dream that takes him through the halls of the university, recalls people that influenced him and activities and places that occupied him both within and outside his studies. While some places are familiar, fantastical elements blend with real world counterparts to create a digital dreamworld.
Mendelssohn's Scottish Symphony - KSO at Sagebrush Theatre
Witness a rising Canadian star shine! Elisabeth St-Gelais probes the emotional depths of Wagner's reflection of unrequited love and longing. Then take a journey across Scotland's misty highlands in Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 3.
Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer - Western Canada Theatre
Red is the last remaining member of the Little Red Warrior First Nation. When he discovers a land development company has invaded his traditional territory and started condo construction, he attacks one of the engineers in a fit of rage. A wickedly funny satire about power, politics, and procreation from Governor General Award-winning playwright, Kevin Loring, a member of the Nlaka’pamux Nation from the Lytton First Nation, a WCT favourite, and writer of Where the Blood Mixes.
