And for that SPECIAL someone...
After Western Canada Theatre’s current co-production (with the Arts Club Theatre of Vancouver) of the hilarious road comedy Mesa by Doug Curtis, there will be just TWO wonderful WCT productions remaining in the 2008 – 2009 Season. The Man Who Shot Chance Delaney by Ian Weir (February 26 to March 7, 2009) is a hilarious spoof of the old time Western duster. It is said to have more laughs than there are teeth on a barroom floor. The Ecstasy of Rita Joe by George Ryga (April 9 to 18) is a powerful and compelling drama about a young First Nations woman leaving the idyllic setting of the Chilcotins to tackle a new life in the big city of Vancouver. “This play can help lead us to the potential beauty in all our futures” (David Ross – WCT’s Artistic Producer). Western Canada Theatre wants YOU to see both of these amazing productions and so are making their Double-Play Packs available until February 14. Give the gift of live theatre to someone you love this Valentine’s Day, beautifully pre-wrapped in a B-100 mug!
