Christmas in the Gallery
Tuesday, November 25th, 2008
The Kamloops Art Gallery is delighted to announce the start of Christmas in the Gallery, its annual Christmas sales event that features gifts and art made by local, British Columbian, and Canadian artists, artisans and craftspeople. The event happens in The Gallery Store between now and December 24, 2008.

“This is going to be a great Christmas sale,” says The Gallery Store Coordinator Nicole Baker. “I’m really excited! We have such beautiful things right now. This year, more than ever, we’re focusing on gifts made locally and made in Canada. Our customers have told us they want to buy quality gifts, so that’s what we’ve brought in. We’re representing around 45 artists and craftspeople. These are people working in Kamloops, the region, and right across the country. We’ve also made sure to bring in items that are affordable to a lot of different people and budgets. We want a lot of people to come and see us – and they’ll get a big smile for free!”

Featured gift items include jewellery, spa products, First Nations art, home décor, children’s toys and clothes, pottery, textiles and glass. Gift wrapping is offered for between $1.50 and $3.50.

The Gallery Store is open every day until December 24, when it will close at noon. Regular hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday 10am to 5pm; Thursday 10am to 9pm; and Sunday noon to 4 pm. The Gallery is located at 465 Victoria Street.
