Back Country Riding in Kamloops

Explore the back country on a ATV. Cruising along old logging roads or checking out multiple trails, topped off with a picnic lunch, is a great way to see the back country of the Kamloops region. We recommend checking with the Kamloops Visitor Centre first for information on where to ride as they can offer suggested riding areas that are suitable for specific skill levels and are legal to ride.

Guided ATV Tours in Kamloops

There are many areas to explore by ATV in the Kamloops region. It is recommended to hire a guide to take a group out for a day or half day to find some of the best areas to ride including legal trails through grasslands, up and over hills and mountains, and through forests of pine, spruce and birch. Learn to ride, join a group or head out as a couple as you are guided through the terrain that matches your riding skills. Check out Thompson Valley Tours and Rentals for packages and tours. Best Management Practices

Best Management Practices should always be taken into consideration when you are out enjoying the beatuiful trails throughout Kamloops and surrounding areas. BMP's identify ways in which YOU can help sustain healthy grasslands while continuing to enjoy your favourite outdoor activities. "Motorized recreation is an activity that all ages can enjoy. By using the practices outlined in the Best Management Practices for Motorized Recreation on BC's Grasslands booklet, what is here today will be here to enjoy tomorrow." ~ John Blinston, President, ATV BC.

Best Management Practices for Motorized Recreation on BC's Grasslands booklets can be picked up at the Visitor Information Centre located at 1290 West Trans Canada Highway, Kamloops BC.
