Softball in Kamloops at "Softball City"
The development of a Slo-Pitch Park at the former Rayleigh Correctional Centre along the shores of the North Thompson River will provide the city wtih a high-quality, user-focused amateur sport and competition venue that serves a year-round focus as a recreational destination. This 15 hectare parcel will include 10 ball diamonds and supporting facilities to accommodate local and out-of-town users, families and spectators.
In the image below you will see on the left there will be 3 rugby pitches, in the centre there are 10 Slo-Pitch fields and to the right there is an area that will potentially be used for Agriculture purposes and riding. In the Centre of the Slo-Pitch fields there is an area called the Tournament Plaza which has areas for concession, beer gardens and more. Changes may still be made to this projection, but as of now these are the plans for the Rayleigh Slo-Pitch Park.
