Olympic Athletes from Kamloops, British Columbia

Kamloops and the local area have had the great fortune to be home base for many world-class athletes, some who are setting their hopes on the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver | Whistler.

Eli Terwiel - Olympic HopefulElli Terwiel | Alpine Skiing

Eli is still working hard to make the team for 2010. She is almost 100% recovered from ACL reconstructive surgery and will be on snow in South America in July.

Matt Morrison | Snowboarding

Matt is currently a registered athlete with PacificSport Interior BC. An Eastern Canadian product, Matt is a Podium identified athlete with Canadian National Snowboard Team. He is currently training in Kamloops and will be at Whistler soon.

Jessica Hewitt - Olympic HopefulJessica Hewitt | Speed Skating

This Kamloops speedskater is training hard with the Canadian National Team in Calgary . Jessica has done well leading up to the Olympics and specializes in Short Track.

Carly Thorp | Snowboarding

Carly is currently ranked 5th in Canada and placed 4th at the Canadian Nationals and the NorAM Series. She's vying for the 3rd spot for the Olympics.
