Kamloops Gymnastics Club - Rings Routine
Kamloops will play host to the Canadian Gymnastics Championships 2010 from May 24 - 30 at the Tournament Capital Centre. The event will bring close to 800 coaches, gymnasts and judges to Kamloops for the competition.
The championships will feature artistic and trampoline gymnastics competing over six days. Olympians and national-team members will showcase their international level routines, while other athletes compete to make their mark on the Canadian gymnastics scene.
“We are excited to welcome Canada’s best gymnasts to Kamloops,” said Moira Gookstetter, CEO of Gymnastics BC.
“During the past four years, gymnastics in Canada has seen an unprecedented increase in participation at the grassroots level, as well as success internationally.
2010 Canadian Gymnastics Championships“The Tournament Capital Centre is an ideal venue for hosting a large gymnastics event. As well, the enthusiasm and commitment by the Tourism Kamloops, the city and the residents of Kamloops will ensure that this event will be among the best ever.”
The event, hosted by Gymnastics BC in conjunction with Gymnastics Canada, will be managed locally by the Kamloops Gymnastics & Trampoline Centre (KGTC) and KATTS Gymnastics. Newsource: Kamloops This Week
