What Women Wore & Why

Explore what women wore under those frills and flounces of the Victorian era.  Some may even get to feel what it was like to wear the restricting undergarments endured by our sisters of yesteryear!  The presentation spans two centuries and the clothes worn by women from the mid-1800s to the present day.  As with all of Christine Pilgrim's shows, these presentations are interactive and are interspersed with songs that are relevant to the period and the topic.

Western Canada Theatre Presents: The Man Who Shot Chance Delaney
Ian Weir has done it again! Using his brilliant wit and insight, he provides a new take on an old form - the classic western duster. Written as a play within a play, Weir recreates the wild west saloon, complete with the misunderstood woman of ill-repute, the whiskey pourin' barkeep, the dark and sultry cowpoke with a grudge to settle, and of course, the gun-slingin' stranger who is just passin' through...or is he? A tongue-in-cheek look at the justice of the old west and the uneasy relationship between myth and fact that is sure to tickle the funny bone.
