Route: Highway 5A
Origin/Destination: Take Highway 5A and follow the signs to Stump Lake (turn left on the Old Kamloops Rd.)
Highlights: Stump Lake Ranch, an 80,000 acre cattle ranch established in 1883 . Do a little fly-fishing to catch the famous Kamloops Trout.
2. Stump Lake - Douglas Lake Ranch
Distance: 46 km (28 mi)
Approximate Time: 30 min
Route: Highway 5A
Origin/Destination: Follow Highway 5A and turn left onto Douglas Lake Rd and follow for about 16 km (10 mi) until arriving at the Ranch.
Highlights: Douglas Lake Ranch, Canada’s largest cattle operation. There's tons to see and do, from fishing to horseback riding.
3. Douglas Lake Ranch - Quilchena
Distance: 15 km (9 mi)

Route: Highway 5A
Origin/Destination: Back on Highway 5A, travel south to Quilchena.
Highlights: Visit the historic Quilchena Hotel, enjoy a fine meal prepared by European chefs or play a round of golf at the adjacent course.

Origin/Destination: Back on Highway 5A, travel south to Nicola.
Highlights: Nicola is an old ranching community that is home to many restored buildings and beautiful scenery.

Highlights: Merritt is home of the Merritt Mountain Music Festival. Check out the Walk of the Stars. Travel north on Highway 5 (Coquihalla Highway) and east on Highway 1 for the 75 km (46 mile) return trip to Kamloops.
